Right or Left Brained?

You Are 50% Left Brained, 50% Right Brained
The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

The Choice

Here is a poem that I wrote, it's not very long. It's a free verse poem.

The Choice
by Faith Bush

She sat in a waiting room,
Confusing thoughts crowded her mind.
They told her it was unimportant and meaningless.
She did not want it, and yet, she did.
They urged her to let go, but something told her to hold on.
What should she do?
Would she always feel guilty if she let go?
She tried to hold back the tears.
The doctor called.
She had to decide.
What would she do?
It's life was in her hands.
Then, a movement.
She knew there was life.
Love overcame her.
She knew what to do.
She knew that this thing inside had meaning.
She was the only one who could save it.
It was hers.
It was real.
It was alive.

Tax Day Tea party

On April 15th, hundreds of thousands of citizens gathered in more than 800 cities to voice their opposition to out of control spending at all levels of government. Organized in all 50 states by Americans from all walks of life, these "tea parties" were a true grassroots protest of irresponsible fiscal policies and intrusive government.

Last Wednesday my family went to one of these tea parties. Is was amazing how many people showed up!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everybody!!!!

1On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' " 8Then they remembered his words.

Rock and Worship roadshow

Roadshow

Last Friday some friends and I went to the Rock and Worship Roadshow in Dallas at the American Airlines center. It was awesome! The center was packed with people. It was pretty cool. The tickets where only $10 dollars and you had to buy them at the door.
All of the bands that played where great. I think my favorite was Jeremy Camp. Mercyme and the rest where good too. After the concert we stood in line to get CD's for an hour! It was insane! All of Mercyme's CD's where $5 each. I got Addison Road, Tenth Avenue North, and Jeremy Camp CDs.

Colorado

My family is leaving to go skiing in Colorado tomorrow! Yeah! I love skiing. The first time I ever went skiing I ran into a tree, but thankfully I've gotten a lot better since then.:) Last year was a lot of fun. I hope that when we get back it will be really warm in Texas. Right now it's in the 30's and raining. (It has been raining for days now.) Texas weather is insane. Just last week it was almost 90 degrees! Right now it feels more like January or December than the middle of March.

Camping

Hello world!
This last weekend my family and I went camping with some friends in east Texas. It was a blast except for the fact that it was in the 20s & 30s all weekend and EXTREMELY windy! When I was packing on Thursday, it was 85 degrees outside so I didn't think to bring a jacket. Oops. Thankfully I did bring a few hoodies and my Dad let me wear his coat when he wasn't using it. the first night it was so windy that our tent was on top of us most of the night(We were on the edge of a big field). the next day we moved it to a little clearing in the woods and it was perfectly still all night even though we could hear the wind howling.
